Brad Cunnington
Brad commenced town planning with the City of Unley in Adelaide’s inner metropolitan area in 2004, holding the position of Senior Urban Planner at the end of his tenure. In his role at Unley, Brad acted as a skilled facilitator and negotiator ensuring an appropriate balance of infill development, whilst retaining existing positive aspects of inner suburban areas.
After a shift to consulting in 2007, in early 2009 Brad relocated to the Northern Territory to manage the expansion of an Adelaide-based consultancy. Tasked with establishing a client base, Brad was appointed as Manager and subsequently established a strong name among numerous public and private sector clients throughout the Northern Territory.
Since moving to Darwin Brad has established himself as a respected and successful planning consultant, with a significant client base across a range of projects. Areas of expertise include complex development approval matters, urban and rural policy, design and statutory planning, remote area and aboriginal community planning, large commercial and residential land division design projects, demographic analysis and social impact assessment, and the preparation of integrated master plans.
In 2013 Brad commenced Northern Planning Consultants, continuing the provision of high quality planning advice to Northern Territory clients in the Top End, Barkly Region and Central Australia.
Brad’s experience is wide ranging and includes the facilitation and assessment of varied and complex development matters, design and approval management, the preparation of planning and social infrastructure strategies, undertaking and preparing studies, planning policy and Planning Scheme amendments.
Brad consults to public and private sector clients on a range of projects, including urban; suburban residential development matters, commercial, industrial and retail development, rural development and subdivision, tourist accommodation facilities and manufacturing. Brad has had experience in the preparation and facilitation of matters through the Lands, Planning and Mining Tribunal, the Northern Territory Supreme Court and the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal, including representation, mediation and expert evidence.

Alex Deutrom
Alex is a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a born and bred Territorian who brings his local knowledge and expertise to his role. In 2016 Alex completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from Charles Darwin University and went on to complete his Masters degree at the University of Sydney in 2018.
Alex started his planning career as an intern with the Northern Territory Government in 2017. After graduating, Alex started a full-time role with the Development Assessment Services team where he worked in projects across the Darwin, Palmerston, Litchfield and Katherine regions.
In 2020 Alex joined the private sector where he has worked on a number of large projects including the Charles Darwin University Education and Community Precinct, the design and approval for Stage 2 of Kilgariff Estate, and the Civic and State Square Art Gallery.
In addition to his role as a senior planner and consultant at CRTPC, Alex is also the President of the Planning Institute of Australia’s NT division where he works closely with the committee and relevant decision makers to advocate for good planning outcomes.
Andreea Caddy
Andreea brings 20 years of leadership experience in private practice and government sectors across South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Andreea has a Bachelor Degree in Design, a Master Degree in Architecture and a Graduate Diploma in Urban & Regional Planning. Andreea’s career to date makes her an experienced design and planning practitioner that is committed to ensuring that placemaking is and remains an inclusive process.
By harnessing good design and planning principles, inclusive consultation, and a site responsive approach, Andreea leads projects from concept design through design development and construction to achieve cohesive and enriching spaces.
Andreea is in the final throes of a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis on improving remote housing and community led design frameworks to achieve consistent and equitable access to good design, across regional and remote Australia. In her spare time, Andreea loves to travel, read and surround herself with her family, many animals, too many cookbooks and home-grown produce.
